Tête de... (Heads Up!)

This collection started back in 2011 with my playful, kawaii mini felt heads, each hand-embroidered and unique in their own way. They were originally created as brooches or keychains, featuring all sorts of characters: rabbits, foxes, skulls, stars, robots, monkeys, frogs, pigs, chinchillas, mice, tigers, and more.

I currently have two of these in my shop: a pig head and a frog head.

Later on, I worked on a special order for a craft boutique on Norfolk Island (between Australia and New Zealand), where I created a series of small cow heads, each with its own unique charm.

Over time, I also ventured into making larger fabric portraits, inspired by taxidermy and Pop Culture, to hang on the wall:

  • A large Goldorak head (fan art) in felt, embroidered by hand—a project that took me weeks to complete.

  • A Wonder Woman head (fan art).

More recently, for my stand at the 2024 Fantasy Festival in Esbjerg, I worked on portraits to hang on walls, using crochet and embroidery hoops, with yarn or cotton thread:

  • A Cthulhu head (fan art).

  • A Frida Kahlo head.

This theme of plush taxidermy characters—mixing the unsettling concept of taxidermy with the cuteness of amigurumi or plush toys—is something I find amusing. Though my creations don’t look “dead,” I love playing with that contrast of creepy and cute. I’m currently developing more crochet “taxidermy” characters, but I won’t reveal more just yet!

Please note that these are decorative collectibles, not toys. Due to small parts, they are not suitable for young children and should be handled with care.

Feel free to browse my shop for one-of-a-kind creations and check out other sections in my showcase, including Paper DollsBunniesNours bearsCute Plushes cases, Funny Eggs hats, Nisse Gnomes, and many others creatures! .

Looking for something special? Custom orders are always welcome! I’d be thrilled to create a design tailored just for you.
