Inspired by the vibrant Mexican Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) folklore and classic rock old-school tattoos, I have been crafting colorful embroidered sugar skulls since 2010.
These playful and intricate skulls come in various sizes and are available as brooches, keychains, garlands, necklace, or decorative hanging ornaments.
Most of my sugar skulls are made from felt, though I have also experimented with oilcloth and vinyl to create unique textures.
I embellish each piece with a range of decorative elements—flowers, butterflies, rabbits, and hearts—that give them a distinct personality.
This year, I added a new creation to the collection: a skull-shaped flower on a stem, perfect for displaying in a vase as a quirky home decor piece. A few other new designs are also available in my shop!
